About

STAMERS KONTOR

STAMERS KONTOR is a photography studio established by Laura Stamer specializing in genuine representations of spaces and people.

By capturing the relationship between space and social interaction STAMERS KONTOR interprets architecture both as form and human experience. Whether the assignment is to document a process or to communicate a sensory experience, each project benefits from a fundamental architectural approach to the subject.

Since 2005, STAMERS KONTOR has had the pleasure of completing photographic assignments for an extensive list of clients across sectors and industries. These successful assignments have all been based on a close working relationship between client and studio by turning every project into a mutual collaboration.

Background

Laura Stamer is a trained architect and photographer. She received her formal education from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture during which period she also attended the University of Gothenburg School of Photography. Laura worked as an apprentice photographer for Suste Bonnén. Laura Stamer is also a Board Member of the Danish Artists' Autumn Exhibition.

Laura’s interdisciplinary background allows her to employ a sensory approach to architectural photography. This ability to capture emotions, experiences and motion within a space places her work beyond that of objective documentation.

Specialities

STAMERS KONTOR specializes in photographic assignments that require architectural method and a profound understanding of space and light. The studio delivers work on all scales within architecture, art & exhibition, interior design, lighting, identity, portraits and large-scale images.

“We have worked with STAMERS KONTOR for a number of years and are very satisfied with the collaboration. Laura Stamer is a reliable, professional and skillful photographer with an eye for architecture and graphic lines. She has played an active part in setting the photographic style and tone for our newest product series of modular skylights in commercial construction.”

"We chose Laura Stamer as photographer for the book about the Bellahøj housing area, as we believe she has an eminent eye for the uniqueness of that project – that it contains many individual details that all relate to the overall whole. And perhaps more importantly – because of her ability to capture traces of the living in her documentation in a subtle and empathetic way. Bellahøj is a place where people live, and this is sensed in her photos."
